I've found the following programs to be very useful on an Oscar server.
 
Samba - network file sharing. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SettingUpSamba
Use sudo apt-get install samba
Setting Up Samba: Once your Oscar server is installed, you can create folders where office documents can be shared.
Samba config file: /etc/samba/smb.conf
could contain the following section (there are lots of resources on-line to help configuring Samba)

Backups - I made a few changes to the Indivica backup instructions, since I don't have multiple servers doing rsync.

The backup script writes all backup data to the /usr/local/backups/data folder. Using Samba, this folder can be accessed by an authorized user, and the data copied to a USB Memory key or local drive.
